NGC News profiles Catharyn Andersen in the March 2021 newsletter. She is the newest member of the Labrador Inuit Capital Strategy Trust.
With Andersen’s appointment in early February, the Trust now has full membership. Garry Best is acting chair. Members are Isabella Pain, Natan Obed, Kristy Sheppard, and Catharyn Andersen. Andersen is a Nunatsiavut Beneficiary who is Special Advisor to the President of Memorial University on Indigenous Affairs.
She recently led the development of Memorial University’s Strategic Framework for Indigenization and is Chair of the President’s Advisory Committee on Indigenous Affairs.
